Free Republic of Bukovina (Russian: Свободная Республика Буковина) was a short-living country in Eastern Europe and is one of the two countries that united into today's Bukovina (the other being the Republic of Bucovina).
Free Republic of Bukovina declared independence from Ukraine in February 2010. At the same time, the Republic of Bucovina proclaimed independence from Romania. In August 2010 the two countries united into the modern Bukovina. FRB was an unrecognised country till June 2010, when Russia occupied Ukraine and recognised it as a sovereign country.
